WHAT WE DO
Slow Art For Well-Being promotes creative and community well-being through accessible slow art and mindful creative practices. We will:
01
Promote slow art and mindful art-making as accessible practices that encourage presence, creativity, reflection, connection, and well-being.
02
Develop and deliver community-based arts programs, workshops, circles, retreats, exhibitions, educational activities, and creative gatherings that engage people of diverse ages, abilities, backgrounds, and life experiences.
03
Provide opportunities for individuals and communities to explore creative practices, including slow stitching, fibre arts, drawing, painting, printmaking, photography, mixed media, and other contemplative art forms.
04
Encourage social connection and belonging by creating inclusive spaces where people can gather, create, share experiences, learn from one another, and develop supportive community relationships.
05
Support artists, makers, facilitators, and community practitioners through collaborative programs, educational opportunities, exhibitions, residencies, and community-based creative initiatives.
06
Build partnerships with community organizations, cultural organizations, educational institutions, wellness organizations, artists, and other groups to increase access to creative and mindful arts experiences.
07
Develop and share educational resources that encourage creative and mindful practices in everyday life.
08
Undertake activities that are incidental and conducive to achieving the foregoing purposes, while operating on a not-for-profit basis.
